Internship: Department Store Sales, Manufacturing, Social Consciousness, NYC Metro Retail
Current Job: Learning Partner, Experiential Marketing Team
What did you do while you interned at EF?
I interned at EF for two summers. My first summer I was lucky enough to be able to intern with three teams: Department Store Sales, Manufacturing, and Social Consciousness. My second summer I was a NYC Metro Retail Intern. This means that I floated throughout our NYC Retail Stores.
What department did you intern for and where are you now?
I interned with several different departments and now I am a Learning Partner working with the Experiential Marketing team.
What did you like about the internship program? What do you like about your job now?
One of the great things about my internship and the Learning Partner program was that I was given the opportunity to try so many different things. This this given me a really great understanding of the company and taught me a lot of different skills. What I like about working with Experiential Marketing, it being able to work on a customer facing team that works with external accounts.
What are the challenges that you have overcome while being an intern/on the job?
One of the greatest challenge I have overcome in my different role as a Learning Partner is learning to understand how the different processes for each team work. For example, while working with the planning team I had to learn how to use many different Retail Systems.
What advice would you give interns coming into the program?
Be confident and feel free to say what you think!
What attracted you to EF and the internship program?
I was interested in the industry and had heard about EF from my Mom. When I learned more about the culture and what I would be doing, I knew it would be a great internship.
How is the environment at EF compared to your previous experiences/ internships?
I have never interned anywhere else!
